Water bottle decisions

I’ve got it into my head that I need one of those water bottles that tells you how much water you’ve drunk through the day. It’s all connected to The Grind.

For me, The Grind can’t work without new, branded merch which makes me feel as though I’m doing something new and shiny and different. It’s a bit like I can’t start writing a story unless the font’s the right size, in the right place, right colour. Everything has to be the way it has to be or I lose my mojo.

What that looks like depends on what I’m trying to do, how I’m feeling about it, and what merch-envy I’m currently being swayed by.

Right now, it’s water bottles that track water.
Water trackers.
Water bottle trackers.

Anyway. Ideally 2000ml. Now. That last point. Not so easy. Yes you can get one, but I’m extremely particular and I haven’t found one that I like. They’re all a bit lumpy, or boring, or stainless steel. So. No thanks.

After much trawling of the interweb I found my ideal bottle. But only 1000ml. A compromise. Now there’s a concept I rarely subscribe to. More trawling.

N.B. Of course I could have made supper, unpacked the dishwasher, read some of my book, put the chickens away, walked the dog…But once I get a bee in my bonnet there’s no going back.

In my heart of hearts I knew only one water bottle (that tracks water consumption) would do. The 1000ml one – Galaxy Magic. I guess I just needed to feel that I’d made the effort to research alternatives. As I (quite rightly) pointed out to myself, you can’t lug a 2000ml water bottle up to London on the train anyway, so the smaller option was far more practical.

I pressed the magic button. Tomorrow my Sahara Sailor 1000ml motivational water consumption tracking bottle in Galaxy Magic arrives!
