Always tough to read a book where you don’t like the main protagonist. Was she a heroine, anti-heroine or villain? A mix of all three? My aversion to the narrator aside, the story was pacey, and kept me on my toes. A definite page turner. And a thought provoking insight into what it takes to make it in the writing business. Talk about cut throat. I’m not sure any of the characters came out of the story untarnished.

Lies, deceptions, writes, re-writes, disguise, thievery and skulduggery. This book looked into the many dark sides of the human soul but very little of the light.
