As in I don’t have any.

That’s about it really. That’s why I haven’t written anything in ages. No time.

Not sure what’s happened in 2025 but from Day One it’s been insanely busy at work and at home. First of alll, we got through new year and went skiing immediately afterwards, which was a great holiday, but going away the first week back at work and school definitely puts you on the back foot when you do finally return to your own, personal coalface.

Since then I feel like I’ve been trying to either catch-up or stay afloat. Will went travelling, then Eddie went travelling and work went stratospheric just as James and I were left holding the fort. When Eddie got back the window fitters also turned up and now we’re living in an ocean of dust and scaffolding punctuated by a variety of cardboard boxes we need to take to the charity shop but haven’t got round to yet because we’re so busy doing a million other things.

On Thursday most of Donnington Square is heading for Madrid for Pablo and Mariale’s wedding. I’m sure I’ll feel excited when we finally get there (after I’ve tamped down my not-getting-any-better flying anxiety). It’s the best news for the nicest couple and I am really, really happy for them and privileged to be a part of their very special day. And I will love every minute.

Eventually.

Sadly not yet though. First of all I have to press on for the next three days and hopefully come out the otherside clear of mind, free of worry and able to focus on something wonderful for a change.
