Louisa lived in London with her parents, brother and sister Alexander and Victoria, cats Gladys and Bluebottle and tortoise Norman, until 1976 when the family moved to Newbury, Berkshire, a small market town in the south of the UK.

She does not consider herself a ‘Newbury Girl’ having not been born in the town, or county. However, despite a variety of efforts to live elsewhere (Sydney, London, Oxford, Winchester), all attempts failed.

She still lives in Newbury with her husband Eddie, sons William and James, cat Daisy, dog Dolly, chickens Una, Bean, Carol and Michonne and 10,000 honeybees she hasn’t named for obvious reasons.
